Canada North Outfitting was among the first to offer walrus hunts in Nunavut. We provide two very distinct hunt packages and locations.

In our first package, our experienced Inuit guides take you by boat to the drift ice and hunt along the edges in search of big-tusked bulls hauled out on ice. This is regarded by both first-time and avid Arctic explorers as amongst the World’s Top 5 Adventures.

Our second package provides a different walrus haul-out experience, as they congregate in large numbers along the shoreline of rocky islands.

Either walrus hunt adventure is suited to non-hunting observers interested in photographic opportunities, Inuit culture, and experiencing the Arctic way of life.
